Hi everyone!

I always like it when founders introduce themselves online, so we can see the human behind the business, so I wanted to introduce myself to all of you.

I'm Chelsea, founder, editor-in-chief, and publisher of Bossladies. (Also the chai tea brewer, bookkeeper, and ad manager). I'm from Maine and studied English and creative writing at Colby College. Now I live in Santa Monica with my love, Pete, and our kitten Ellie Katniss Granger, named after Ms. Everdeen and everyone's favorite Gryffindor.

For a time I worked in Commercial Real Estate, but that never felt like my jam. I moved on to freelance editing for novelists, which I still do a great deal of. I really enjoy it. Especially novels with strong female protagonists. But is that any surprise?

I started Bossladies in early 2016 in an effort to rectify what I felt was a glaring omission in the media world. Along with some really talented friends, we've created a beautiful print magazine to celebrate the women in business whom I find impressive and inspiring.

So far, it's been a wild and wonderful ride, and I look forward to everything that awaits—including, hopefully, meeting you.
